About Brooks

Built from Experience. Focused on Outcomes.

Brooks Barton brings more than 25 years of experience across the seniors housing and skilled nursing industries, with leadership experience spanning both operations and healthcare real estate investments.

Before transitioning into healthcare real estate, Brooks held operational leadership roles supporting seniors housing and skilled nursing providers, developing a firsthand understanding of the day-to-day challenges operators face, including occupancy management, staffing pressures, margin considerations, regulatory complexity, and resident-focused service delivery.

He later spent more than 13 years with American Healthcare REIT, where his responsibilities included acquisitions, dispositions, underwriting, asset management, and the evaluation of a wide range of transaction structures involving seniors housing and skilled nursing assets.

This combination of operating experience and institutional investment perspective provides clients with a practical understanding of how decisions made in the boardroom ultimately affect performance at the community level and how operational realities influence transaction outcomes.

Having worked alongside owners, operators, lenders, investors, attorneys, accountants, and other transaction professionals, Brooks helps clients evaluate opportunities, identify potential risks, and navigate important decisions with greater confidence and clarity.
